About the cabinets
- What does “RTA” mean?
- RTA stands for ready-to-assemble. Cabinets ship flat-packed with pre-drilled holes, cam locks, and step-by-step instructions. A single cabinet takes most people 15–25 minutes to assemble with a Phillips screwdriver and a rubber mallet. If you would rather not assemble, we offer assembly as an add-on for South Florida deliveries.
- What are the cabinets made of?
- Every SKU we sell uses a plywood box. Doors and drawer fronts vary by collection (solid wood, MDF with painted or thermofoil finish, or veneer over engineered core, depending on the door style). All hinges are soft-close and all drawers are on soft-close undermount slides. Full construction specs are on each collection page.
- Are the cabinets frameless?
- Yes. Every collection is frameless (European-style), which gives you 10–15% more usable interior space per cabinet than a face-frame cabinet of the same width.
Samples
- Can I see a door in person before I order?
- Yes — we strongly recommend it. Order a door sample from the first row of any collection page. Screens vary; a physical sample is the only reliable way to judge sheen and undertone.
- How much do samples cost?
- Sample pricing is listed as the first row on each collection page. Sample fees are credited back against your cabinet order if you buy within 90 days.
Ordering & payment
- Do I need an account to order?
- No. You can check out as a guest. Creating an account lets you save your project, reorder easily, and track shipments.
- How do I know which cabinets I need?
- The safest path is our $49 Design Help service — a designer reviews your floor plan and gives you a full shopping list. The $49 is credited back if you order from us. If you already have a cabinet list from another designer, you can add the SKUs directly from any collection page.
- What payment methods do you accept?
- All major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover), Shop Pay, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. Trade accounts can request ACH or wire — contact us before placing the order.
- Do you offer financing?
- Yes, through Shop Pay Installments at checkout on qualifying orders. Terms are set by Shop Pay, not by Mod Cabs.
- Do you charge sales tax?
- We charge Florida sales tax on orders shipped to Florida addresses. Tax on orders shipped to other states is calculated at checkout based on the destination.
Shipping & delivery
- How long until my order ships?
- Each collection is tagged 5–7, 7–14, or 14+ business days. See our shipping policy for the full breakdown.
- What happens if a box arrives damaged?
- Note the damage on the delivery receipt before signing, photograph it, and email us within 48 hours. Full instructions are in the shipping policy.
Installation
- Do you install?
- Yes, in South Florida (Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach). Installation is quoted per project. Request a quote from the delivery page or by emailing us.
- Can my contractor install these?
- Absolutely. Any licensed finish carpenter or kitchen installer can install our cabinets — the assembly process is standard European frameless construction with cam locks.
Returns & warranty
- Can I return cabinets I ordered by mistake?
- Yes, within 15 days of delivery, if the boxes are unopened and unused. A 20% restocking fee and return shipping apply. Full terms are in the return policy.
- What is covered under warranty?
- Manufacturing defects under normal residential use for 5 years from delivery. See the warranty page for what is and isn’t covered.

- Do you offer contractor or designer pricing?
- Yes. Apply to our Trade Program — approval typically takes one business day and unlocks tiered pricing on every project.
- Do you offer military, teacher, or first responder discounts?
- Yes — see military, teacher, and first responder discounts. Verification is required.
